07 — Canonization
The glorification of Paisiy as a saint of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church. He was canonized in 1962, the bicentenary of the Slavo-Bulgarian History, with his feast fixed on 19 June; the timing bound the saint to his book. This section treats the act of glorification, its grounds and its context, and the shape of the cult that followed.
