03 — The Slavo-Bulgarian History
The book itself. This section treats the composition of the Istoriya Slavyanobolgarska — the Slavo-Bulgarian History — at the Zograph Monastery, completed in 1762, and then its argument and its celebrated appeal: the account of the Bulgarian tsars, patriarchs, and saints, framed as a call to a Hellenizing people to know their own nation and their own language, and its rebuke of those Bulgarians ashamed of the Bulgarian name.
Tradition: Bulgarian Orthodox
