07 — The Writings
Beyond the Dogmatics: Justin’s other great labor, the twelve-volume Lives of the Saints, and the broad body of his New Testament commentaries, ascetical and dogmatic essays, Dostoevsky studies, and correspondence.
This section surveys the rest of a vast corpus. The first file treats the Žitija Svetih — the twelve-volume Lives of the Saints, arranged by the church calendar, which Justin regarded as theology in narrative form and to which he gave years of labor at Ćelije. The second treats the remainder: his verse-by-verse commentaries on the New Testament epistles, his essays (including the Dostoevsky books and Svetosavlje), and his letters — the shorter writings through which his mind is best entered.
