Moses the God-Seer
Moses (feast 4 September), the Theoptēs who spoke with God face to face and ascended into the darkness of Sinai, with his companions Aaron the high priest and Joshua the son of Nun (feast 1 September), and his appearance in glory at the Transfiguration of Christ.
Tradition: Pan-Orthodox
The first file, moses-and-the-sinai-ascent.md, treats Moses’ theophanies: the burning bush (the “I AM” and the type of the Theotokos), the darkness of Sinai read by St. Gregory of Nyssa’s Life of Moses as the apophatic ascent, and the vision of the divine glory — with the Pentateuch-authorship question deferred to the Scripture collection and the Church’s liturgical ascription noted. The second file, aaron-joshua-and-the-transfiguration.md, treats Aaron the first high priest, Joshua who led Israel into the Promised Land, and Moses standing with Elijah on Mount Tabor as the witness of the Law to the transfigured Christ.
