09 — The Schism Today

The official Orthodox–Catholic dialogue (Ravenna 2007, Chieti 2016, Alexandria 2023) has brought the primacy question — the schism’s core — to the table without resolving it, while Orthodoxy itself disputes whether the dialogue is faithful obedience or creeping betrayal. This closing section reports the dialogue and the intra-Orthodox argument per §4.2, then draws the sober balance-sheet: what actually divides, and why reunion would mean return to the common faith, not diplomacy.

Tradition: Pan-Orthodox
