07 — Repose and Relics
The end and its aftermath: the repose of St. Nikephoros on 4 January 1964, the exhumation of his relics some three years later and their reported fragrance, and the posthumous healings attributed to his intercession — the last reported, per the repository methodology, as the tradition attests.
Tradition: Greek Orthodox (20th-c. Cretan monk; glorified 2012)
This section closes the biography and opens the cult. The repose is a datable historical fact; the fragrant relics and the healings belong to the domain of attested testimony, handled here under METHODOLOGY §3.5.
