05 — The Moscow Years
The heart of the ministry: receiving crowds — the Life says up to forty people a day — through the 1930s Soviet terror and the Second World War, and the prayer and counsel by which she met them. The documented persecution of the Church is the historical floor; the personal and prophetic anecdotes are pinned to the late Life.
Tradition: Russian Orthodox (canonized 1999/2004)
These files set Matrona’s hidden, catacomb-like ministry against the real history of the persecuted Church in the 1930s and 1940s, and report the wartime prophecy-claims as what the late Life attests — keeping the documented floor distinct from the devotional narrative, and the real hunted ministry distinct from the triumphalist Stalin legend.
