The Siberian beginnings of St. Innocent and the journey that carried him to America: his birth and formation in the Irkutsk world, the conferral of the name Veniaminov, his ordination as a married priest, the 1823 call to the Aleutians that no one else would answer, and the fourteen-month voyage to Unalaska.
