The end of St. Dimitri’s life and the beginning of his veneration: his repose in 1709 in the poverty of a bishop who left no estate but his books and manuscripts; the finding of his incorrupt relics in 1752; and his glorification in 1757 — the first canonization of the Synodal period.
This section covers his death and his glorification. The first file treats the repose and his poverty; the second the finding of the relics and the canonization.
