06 — The Spiritual Writings
St. Dimitri’s writings on the inner life: The Inner Man in the Closet of the Heart and his teaching on unceasing prayer and the constant remembrance of God; his prayers and meditations; and the Spiritual Alphabet that for centuries has been printed under his name though it is, by scholarly consensus, the work of an earlier Kyivan hierarch.
This section gathers the ascetic and devotional side of Dimitri — the writer who, behind the compiler and the polemicist, taught the prayer of the heart. The first file treats the writings and the disputed authorship; the second develops his teaching on the life of prayer.
