06 — The Great Pilgrimage
The immense medieval cult — better documented than the saint himself — that made the abbey of Saint-Oyend into the shrine of Saint-Claude and one of the great pilgrimages of late-medieval Europe, with the miracle-tradition that drew and rewarded the pilgrims.
