09 — Legacy and Assessment
A closing evaluation of St. Abo: his legacy within Georgian and universal Orthodoxy, and a sober assessment of what is firmly known, what is disputed, and what this collection claims.
Tradition: Georgian Orthodox
The first file draws together Abo’s legacy — as patron of Tbilisi, as the subject of a foundational Georgian text, as a witness whose story roots national identity in faith, and as a universal martyr of the Church. The second file offers a sober assessment in the terms of the repository methodology: the firm core attested by the near-contemporary Life, the points that remain disputed, and the disciplined claims the collection makes.
